  • Group Study/Presentation Room Policy

    Two presentation/group study rooms are provided in the library on the Hampton Campus. Rooms are available to Virginia Peninsula Community College students, faculty and staff only and must be reserved using a VPCC e-mail address. Both Hampton study rooms have a capacity of eight people and have a computer that can be used for presentations, a dry erase board, markers, and an eraser.

    • The rooms are limited to group study (2 or more people) OR individuals or groups who are practicing/recording presentations and speeches. These rooms do not serve as individual study rooms or meeting rooms.

    • Reservations are accepted up to 2 weeks in advance. Use of the rooms is limited to 2 hours per day and 4 hours per week.  

    • Users should arrive at least 5 minutes prior to their reservation time. Users arriving more than 15 minutes late risk losing their reservation.

    • Users must present a current Virginia Peninsula Community College ID in order gain access to the rooms and/or check out a video camera at the Circulation Desk.

    • All keys must be returned to the checkout desk 15 minutes before library closing time.

    • Limit food or drink and clean up any trash.

    • Reservations are subject to approval. The Library reserves the right to cancel reservations at any time with or without notice. Violation of any portion of this policy may result in loss of privileges. 

    The Historic Triangle library has nine study rooms that do not require a reservation and are available on a first come, first served basis. Each study room has a dry erase board, markers, and an eraser and seats four people.
