Need an article or book that is not available at Virginia Peninsula Community College library? You may be able to get it through interlibrary loan (ILL): Interlibrary Loan FAQs
The library accepts purchase recommendations from our community to keep our collection up to date and relevant to the learning objectives of our students. To make the best use of our limited budget we try to not acquire materials in multiple formats (physical, ebook, audiobook) except in special circumstances.
As VPCC students, faculty, and staff you have library check out privileges at other academic institutions that participate in the Virginia Tidewater Consortium and Virginia's Academic Library Consortium (VIVA).
For the Reciprocal Library Borrowing Program with the Virginia Tidewater Consortium, stop by either of the VPCC Library reference desks and we will issue you a borrower's card good for the current semester. Take the card along with your VPCC ID to the lending library to check out materials.
For VIVA libraries you will need to bring your current VPCC photo ID and show proof of affiliation with the college.
