Film & Media Studies: Web Resources

This library contains millions of digital movies uploaded by Archive users which range from classic full-length films, to daily alternative news broadcasts, to cartoons, commercials and concerts. Be sure to check out the included Prelinger Archives, which contains approximately 5,000 digitized and videotape titles and a large collection of home movies, amateur and industrial films. Its goal remains to collect, preserve, and facilitate access to films of historic significance that haven't been collected elsewhere.

The New York State Archives preserves the largest collection of film scripts in the world. Ranges from 1921-1965.

MDB is a free online database of information about films. View external reviews from critics by selecting the link for Critic Reviews in the Reviews section for each film.

MRQE.com is the Internet’s largest database of movie reviews for over 100,000 titles. The continually growing site provides a searchable index of all published and available reviews, news, interviews, and other materials associated with specific movies.

Named after the longtime film critic of the Chicago Sun-Times, this site calls itself "the world’s preeminent destination for movie criticism, commentary".

Provides summaries of film reviews by averaging the scores given by different reviewers. Many of the reviews come from major media outlets.
